Old Town does pubs and small plates very well. We do Japanese very well. After 25 years on Voltaire Road, we've stopped trying to be everything to everyone — sushi, robata, sake, cocktails, that's the brief.

Eat at the counter or take the room.

Counter seats sit you in front of the sushi chefs. The dining room sits behind the cocktail bar. We have semi-private spaces for groups of twelve to thirty-six and full buy-out on Sundays and Mondays.

The walk back is good too.

From here, it's a four-minute walk back to the Common, three to Clapham High Street rail. The Pavement is eight on foot. We hold the bar open for the half-hour after the kitchen closes.
